Men's Cat 4 Portsmouth Criterium - Brian Anderson 9-16-07
The cat 4 Portsmouth crit was not pretty today. 2 NEBC riders got taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Joe Jussaume and Darrell Morrow were in a crash around lap 10 or so past the finish line. Joe was on the pavement for a few laps, causing the field to be neutral. Darrell was up, and looked to me as I went by helping out Joe, but he was injured too.
Good news is both are out of the Hospital. Joe has a lot of road rash and bruises but no broken bones. Darrell has a broken collar bone, but was released to get an orthopedic surgeon to take a look at it this week.
Better news is that John Gibbons got podium with a 3rd place! Not a pretty race overall, but that’s bike racing…
