in his own words

How did you spend this off-season?
Racing cyclocross.
What are your goals for 2007?
Consistant placing and two wins.
What are your Favorite Movies/Bands/Books?
Caddy Shack and Blues
What is your Favorite Race?
Concord Crit and Sturbridge RR
When did you start racing, how and why?
To slow to run triathlons, but fast enough to pedal.
What was your first bike? When/how did you get it?
I won a 50cm ten speed when I was 8. Couldn’t ride it until I was 13.
What was your first win?
Concord Crit, number one reason that is my favorite race.
What would you consider your finest moment on the bike?
Standing on the podium at GMSR in the green jersey.
What’s the one thing you’ve done on a ride (training or race) that you will absolutely never do again?
See the magical white house at the top of App Gap.
A word or phrase that best describes my strengths as a cyclist is…
arrogant and cocky
I race my bike because…
I’ve always been good and it and the results make it very enjoyable.
If I could train anywhere, it would be…
In the hills of the Green Mountains. Great roads, great climbs and even great bars.
The pro racer I resemble most is…
Tom Boonen. Strong at the finish, strong at the long races and not so good in the hills.
The movie that spends the most time in my DVD player while I’m on the trainer is…
My DVD Player is usually empty. Live TV rocks for endurance sessions.
My philosophy on training/bike maintenance/diet is…
You get everything out that you put in. Garbage in and garbage out. Don’t like what you see, then you only have yourself to blame.
My favorite bike part is…
Good bar tape.
